The Villetta di Monterufoli estate in the Province of Pisa, boasts over 1000 Ha of uncontaminated nature, and is situated on a hillside area 35 Km from Volterra and 25 Km from the beaches of the Etruscan coastline.

The estate in the period between 1914 and 1957 belonged to the descendants of Count Ugolino della Gherardesca, and is today part of the Saiagricola s.p.a Group.

There are three distinct accommodation premises of guests, sleeping a total f 60 in both rooms and apartments. The main building known as MINIERA, is in fact an ancient Palazzo dating back to 1850 and which houses the bedrooms, the reception, Bar and restaurant.

Minutes from the main building are the ANCIENT STABLES of the prized Monterufolini horses, and is the ideal place for those seeking a little relaxation and who wish to savour all the charm of an authentic Tuscan ambience featuring beamed ceiling and terracotta tiled floors ,and a wonderful fireplace in the dining room.

On the edges of the Natural Reserve of Monterufoli - Caselli with its over 4000 Ha of forest land, located 900 mt from Reception and the Swimming pool is the GUARD HOUSE, renovated during the course of 2005 offers 4 independent apartments with a park with full facilities amongst the centuries-old holm oaks.

The guests have a swimming-pool at their disposal (17m x 7m)for both adults and children a multi-functional tennis-basketball court, as well as numerous tracks for trekking and mountain-biking, as well as table-tennis, table football and children's play park.

The estate also produces Doc wine, Extra virgin olive oil and Organic honey
